Woodland & Forestry Ltd has more than thirty years of practical land-based experience across Staffordshire and neighbouring areas.
General forestry and tree-surgery enquiries are not being accepted at present. These pages remain available as a record of the team, its experience and the work it has carried out.
Past projects were assessed individually so access, ground conditions, wildlife constraints and the intended woodland outcome could be considered before work was agreed.
What we do
Thirty years of it. The log stores we still build to order — the woodland work is paused, but the experience behind the firewood hasn’t gone anywhere.
Felling, thinning, forwarding and extraction, ride creation, coppice restoration and infrastructure. Paused for now — get in touch and we’ll point you to someone local we trust.
Thirty years in woodland is why we know good timber when we see it. These days we buy from local contractors, The National Forest and a large UK woodland management company, then cut and split it ourselves.

Thirty years of contracts means an unusually wide range for a small outfit. Everything below we carry out ourselves.
Manual rhododendron clearance is slow, awkward, unpopular work — and it’s what we’re known for. No heavy machinery churning through sensitive ground, no chemical shortcuts where they aren’t wanted.
We follow it through properly: once the rhododendron is out, we carry on into game bird habitat enhancement so the ground actually earns its keep afterwards.
